Some time ago, I starting having dreams about my teenage son, Anthony. I sensed that he was going to make choices that resulted in harmful consequences. I was hosting an ongoing psychic development class at that time. I asked the teacher what his insights were in this situation. He picked up on an accident that Anthony might have on an off road vehicle. This was not very encouraging information, but I knew my son was in charge of his own life. At sixteen years old, he was motorcycle riding every weekend. He was doing well in school and had a part time job. He had just obtained his driver’s license and purchased his first truck.
Two days after the class, I received a call that my son was being taken
to the hospital. He had crashed his motorcycle and dislocated his
shoulder. I wasn’t too upset because we had gone through this before.
My husband and sons had a passion for racing and had experienced their
fair share of injuries. I used to joke that the emergency room staff at
the hospital knew us on a first name basis. The doctors examined my son
and put his shoulder in a sling. When we got home I thought that it
would be business as usual. The worst case scenario was that he would
be out of P.E. at school and have a few months of physical therapy.
I had a psychic reading the next day with my friend, Anarah. She had
become something of a family counselor over the past few years. She
looked at the situation energetically and saw a past life "lighting
up.” She said that my son had been a member of a sailing crew that
pillaged a town. Many crimes were committed and three people were hung.
My son was one of them. Although he was not a ringleader, he was one of
the "fall guys”. Anarah said, "Amy, I am worried about his neck. It was
very vulnerable due to this past experience and I think he may have an
injury.” I told her that the doctors had not seen a problem.
When I returned home, there was a phone message on my answering machine
indicating that the x-ray technicians had found a fracture on Anthony’s
fifth vertebrae. I was stunned, but not really surprised. The way this
had unfolded, I had an understanding of the reasons things were
happening. We took him back to the hospital where he was outfitted with
a neck brace. We had a rough night and I think my hysteria was held in
check due to the information I had received psychically. Another
intuitive told me that it was necessary for my son to remain separated
from his peer group for a while to prevent a potential disaster. He was
out of school for six months because of the injury.
It was a difficult situation for everyone and my son was on his back
for a long time. We had a teacher come to our home with his schoolwork.
I bought Anthony The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle on audio tape. I
hoped it would inspire him to look past his current life situation and
look within for peace and comfort. I think it helped him see life from
another perspective and he learned valuable lessons through this
challenging experience. We talked about making wise decisions in
regards to friends and peer situations and going within for guidance.
Sometimes it is hard to accept the cards we are dealt in life, but
there is a bigger picture designed to help us evolve and gain greater
understanding of ourselves. With greater understanding, acceptance
becomes easier. As we practice acceptance, we will find peace.
Prayer: "Mother-Father God, I believe that there is a reason for each
event in my life. This gives me strength and courage to continue
growing and evolving. My soul has designed lessons that I will utilize
to gain wisdom and understanding. I will refrain from judging
situations as "good” or "bad”, but view them from many perspectives. I
ask for guidance and insights along the way to keep me in touch with
Truth. And so it is.”
